Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour (atta)
  • ½ cup fresh methi (fenugreek) leaves, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp besan (gram flour)
  • ¼ tsp turmeric
  • ½ tsp ajwain (carom seeds)
  • 1 tsp oil
  • Warm water to knead
  • Minimal salt

Instructions

  1. 1Combine wheat flour, besan, turmeric, ajwain, and methi leaves.
  2. 2Add oil and mix until crumbly.
  3. 3Gradually add warm water and knead into a smooth, soft dough.
  4. 4Rest the dough for 10 minutes covered.
  5. 5Divide into 8 portions and roll each into thin circles.
  6. 6Cook on a hot tawa with a few drops of oil until golden spots appear.
  7. 7Flip and cook the other side.
  8. 8Serve warm with curd to boost iron absorption.
