Ingredients
- 1 cup whole wheat flour (atta)
- ½ cup fresh methi (fenugreek) leaves, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp besan (gram flour)
- ¼ tsp turmeric
- ½ tsp ajwain (carom seeds)
- 1 tsp oil
- Warm water to knead
- Minimal salt
Instructions
- 1Combine wheat flour, besan, turmeric, ajwain, and methi leaves.
- 2Add oil and mix until crumbly.
- 3Gradually add warm water and knead into a smooth, soft dough.
- 4Rest the dough for 10 minutes covered.
- 5Divide into 8 portions and roll each into thin circles.
- 6Cook on a hot tawa with a few drops of oil until golden spots appear.
- 7Flip and cook the other side.
- 8Serve warm with curd to boost iron absorption.
